Admission into a PA Drug Rehab Residential Facility
When you enter a PA drug rehab treatment center, you will be escorted to the office where counselors will make every effort to assist you in making the decision to get treatment.
Intake normally takes 1 hour to complete, you will be escorted to Pennsylvania drug rehab residential treatment, you will be given a tour of the facility, and introduced you to residential staff. The technician will welcome you and introduce you to a fellow residents
Medical and Psychological Assessments in Pennsylvania Drug Treatment Facilities
Once you have made the decision to enter Pennsylvania drug treatment, a nurse from the detox unit will assess you to see if medical detoxification is required. A psychological assessment may also be ordered. These assessments will ensure that you receive the necessary treatment to recover from addiction.
Admission to Pennsylvania Drug Rehab Residential Program
The first, orientation phase, lasts 10 days. You will be assigned a counselor who will manage your case throughout Pennsylvania drug rehab treatment, and you will also meet with medical, psychological, and nutritional staff for various assessments. Every patient attends several educational and process groups during this phase.
To limit distractions, phone use, visits and outside passes are deferred. You will need to focus on recovery, so the time should pass quickly. You will notice that your peers are as supportive as staff, almost as if they rely on your success.
Education is an important part of treatment, so all patients learn about their addictions in this phase. Using a combination of educational groups, process groups, sessions with counselors and interns, and writing assignments, you can begin to see how alcoholism and drug addiction impacts your life.
In both short-term and long-term treatment you will continue to attend groups and prepare for your life after PA drug rehab treatment. Counselors will acquaint you with 12 Step programs of recovery, and vocational or educational assistance. As you progress in treatment you will gain more responsibility and privileges, and gain knowledge on how to enjoy life outside of your addictions.
